Lots of Confused Baby Animals.

We are raising a litter of cats this year. Five kittens were left in our shop for a couple of days and we stepped in after it was clear mom wasn’t around. We’ve had a number of litters over the course of time out here but these are my first bottle babies.

As you can see they are sure to grow up with a case of mistaken identity one way or another, but at least they are growing up.

We had one solo baby chicken at the same who was extremely distressed, so we put them all in the same box together for a few weeks. It was the only time he slept. He is now back in the coop with the rest of his bird friends, but we named him CatBird so he’ll have a hard time living this down.

Sorry CatBird. 🤷‍♀️

Babies are about two months old now, and they are at the PERFECT age. They can finally feed and clean themselves properly, they all have totally different personalities, and are either fully asleep or fully in comedian mode. They are living out in our back yard during the days with Charlie as their protector, and they play hard/sleep hard ALL. DAY. LONG.

So intimidating!

Once they discover that they are cats we will really be in trouble.
