I’m Jess.

I’m a Montana native who left the state at 17 and spent the next 20+ years traveling the world on active duty, going to school, working in operating rooms, and driving a semi truck. (Not all at once.) Thanks to an unforeseen chain of events, I’m thrilled to find myself back in my home state, dabbling in sustainable farming, homeschooling, writing, momming, and running a trucking business with my way better half.

This is an incredibly busy, chaotic season in my life and I’m hoping to create a space where I can share some of my favorite photographs and experiences regularly. I struggle with keeping up on posts, and I figured creating a whole blog dedicated to “daily” farm & ranch updates should allow me to access just enough social pressure to get it together.

Having found myself living in a world FILLED with unrealistic expectations and AI absolutely everywhere, I ache for a genuine space where real life humans share real life photos & experiences & storytelling that isn’t made in a lab, so this is my way of contributing to a little bit of that to the Interwebs. The content on this page is guaranteed to be AI free. I enjoy sharing the good things I see every day, but also the rest of the things. The real things.

If that’s your thing, enjoy. Thanks for reading!
